Creating the right balance of visual and structural package designs will attract shoppers and establish your competitive advantage on the shelf and online. We'll customize a strategy to fit your needs. From graphics, illustrations, 3-D imaging and print-ready files, we are a one stop design shop that will help you develop a package that stands out. The packaging idea should begin and build around the consumer. Well-designed, functional packaging attract consumers. After all, packaging is often the consumer’s only tangible, physical interaction with your brand. We make sure that our custom packaging designs provides your consumers with convenience in opening, closing, reuse, recycling, and more. The function of the design will keep your products fresh and safe for their intended shelf life, while the form attracts attention and communicates pertinent information regarding your product.
The product validation phase ensures you are creating a product people will pay for and that you are not going to waste time, money and effort on an idea that won't sell. We will get feedback from a substantial and unbiased audience as to whether they would buy your product. The information we compile from doing product validation and market research will allow us to gauge the demand for your new offering and also the level of competition that exists before we go to market. We can create a minimum viable product (MVP) at this stage. The MVP is a version of your product with just enough functionality for early customers to try. We will establish your brand mission and vision statements. Your brand vision is a future, aspirational statement that your brand drives towards achieving. Envision a projection of where your brand aspires to go, what it aspires to be, and what impact it will have on the industry you are in over the next 10 years. We will create a mission statement that is a now, everyday, statement of commitment – a roadmap for accomplishing your vision. It will detail how you execute your brand building strategies. Everything from your logo to your tagline, voice, message, and personality will reflect the mission and vision statements. A unique selling proposition (USP) is the differentiating factor that will separate your brand from its competitors. We will create a USP that explains why a customer should purchase your product. It will clearly explain what differentiates you, what makes your offering unique and why you have the best product on the market.
We will outline the key qualities and benefits your brand offers to create a unique brand voice and story for product. Your voice is determined by your company’s mission, audience and industry. We will choose a brand voice that resonates with your target customers. A brand story is your opportunity to communicate on a human level, making a direct emotional connection with your consumers.
We will create a strong brand identity. Identity sets the tone and emotion you want to elicit for your brand and ensures your intent matches up with how your product is perceived. It starts with understanding your brand story and translating it into words and images. This will establish the brand’s personality. Creating a brand identity that not only instantly clicks with the consumer but also maintains the long-lasting impact on their heart, mind, and soul is an essential part of active brand development. We will create and convey your brand to the public with impactful content, focused messaging and unique sensory imagery. All the elements of your brand identity will be applied across all channels clearly and consistently. To announce the existence of your brand to the world and differentiate it from the competition requires more than just a good eye. It requires a good name. It’s what consumers typically think of first when they hear your brand name. If one does not exist, we will create a name, tagline and logo for your product. The right name, logo, taglines etc. will play a key role in ensuring robust brand development.
Once you have a product prototype you’re satisfied with, we can start to acquire the materials and secure the partners needed for production. We refer to this as building your supply chain: the vendors, manufacturers, activities and resources needed to create a product and get it into a customer’s hands.
After research, planning, prototyping and sourcing is done, you will have a clearer picture of what it will cost to produce your product. Costing is a business analysis process where you take all information gathered thus far and add up what your cost of goods sold (COGS) will be so we can determine a retail price and gross margin. We will begin by creating a spreadsheet with each additional cost broken out as a separate line item. This will include all of your raw materials, factory setup costs, manufacturing costs and shipping costs. Once we have the total COGS calculated, we will create a pricing strategy for your product and subtract the COGS from that price to get your potential gross margin, or profit, on each unit sold.
We now have a properly developed product that is ready for the world. The last step in the product development methodology is to introduce your product to the market. At this point, the product development team will hand the reins over to our marketing team for your product launch. We will then create an innovative marketing platform for your product. Getting the attention of larger food retail stores often requires the help of someone who has experience in the industry and a range of contacts that can help push your brand and product line. We will use then utilize our extensive contact list to get your product into national retailers, C-stores and grocery retail chains. If needed, we will help develop in-store active sampling, in-store coupons, create point of sale marketing material, static clings for doors and eye-catching posters for in store and front window placement. Lastly, we will look to secure a national distribution partner for your new product.
We will effectively highlight and bring awareness to your brand by connecting values and voice to the right audience through strategic communication. This will be done effectively through various digital marketing activities including the user experience (i.e. your website), SEO and content marketing and social media marketing. We will also create all pre-opening content associated with your new product including press releases, social media posts and all pre-launch marketing communications.

Cole was also the operational director for Castles N' Coasters, a multi-unit family amusement park with locations in both Arizona and California. From managing operations to creating unforgettable experiences, his role required a combination of skills, knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional entertainment. By embracing unique and captivating experiences to attract and engage visitors, enhancing food and beverage offerings and leveraging advancements in technology, Cole was able to thrive in a highly competitive market. Implementing innovative and targeted marketing strategies helped increase brand visibility, attract new visitors, maintain a loyal customer base and play a crucial role in driving park attendance.
Jimmy has an uncanny ability to see the future potential of the unplanted seeds of today and that is why he is so passionate about his role with Madmen Ventures. He loves brainstorming creative solutions to challenging problems and working with clients to get their vision to market. He comes from a hospitality background, both as a consultant and creator of numerous successful restaurant and bar concepts in Arizona including the Cajun House, The Velvet Room and the multi-unit sushi bar Blue Wasabi. Jimmy brings with him a proven history of accomplishments and accolades as an entrepreneur. He also brings his 25 years of business and product development experience, unique insight and out of the box creativity to Madmen.
